Interface Between Profitability Analysis and the Schedule Manager

Use

In Profitability Analysis, certain periodically recurring tasks have to be performed, the order of which is determined by business contexts or technical relationships. In previous releases, it was possible to manage the individual activities in the SAP System and to analyze the results, but neither could be done centrally. Instead, you had to use the respective options relating to the individual activity (such as executing programs, job administration, or output control).

Now you can use the Schedule Manager to group, plan and execute frequently recurring tasks across the different applications and monitor the results of the different activities, all of which is possible in a unified interface in the SAP System. Consequently, the information you have about the status of your activities is constantly up-to-date. Furthermore, you have the option of defining complex sequences of activities and having them executed automatically.

The following task lists are delivered as examples of how the Schedule Manager can be used:

  • Task list 0-SAP-ROLE for cross-application period-end closing
  • Task list 0-SAP-PRPL for cross-application planning
  • Task list 0-SAP-PAAC for recurring CO-PA tasks using actual data
