International Address Versions in CRM (Enhanced for SP06)
Use
As of Customer Relationship Management 4.0 Support Package 6, the CRM functions listed below incorporate the existing technology for international address versions. International address versions are attributes of business address services that enable addresses to appear in different character sets, depending on the country. For example, in Japanese, agents may work with both the latin alphabet and kanji. This capability is available for all countries for which you have maintained an international address version.
For more information about international address versions, see help.sap.com.
- Business Partner Search in Interaction Center WinClient
- Provided there is one character set defined for your logon language, you can enter search terms using the default character set or the international character set. The system automatically searches in both the default and the international character sets.
- To display addresses in an international address version, simply select the address type you want to use for display. In your user parameters, you can also set the address type for international address versions as the default address type.
- External List Management
- When creating business partners, the application checks if the international address version is maintained in the mapping format (field PERS_NATION or ORG_NATION) and a valid value is provided in the file containing information on business partners. If the international address version is present, then the application automatically creates an international address version for the relevant business partners.
- Personalized Mail
- If you have maintained the International Address Version feature in Customizing (choose SAP Web Application Server --> Basis Services --> Address Management --> Activate International Address Versions), then the application checks for the script (example, Kanji) matching the language (example, Japanese) of the business partner. All address- and business partner-related data is automatically displayed in the relevant script. However, if the matching script is not maintained in the system, then the data is displayed in the default script maintained in the system.
