Client Switch (New)
Use
As of SAP CRM 5.0, the client switch is available and is included as part of the employee interaction center (EIC) business process. The client switch allows you to use one system for hosting multiple interaction centers, while keeping data for each interaction center (IC) separate, in its own system client.
With the client switch, agents have the convenience of logging in to only one system, automatic prompting or directing to the correct client based upon dialed number identification service (DNIS), and access to a multiple client business partner search.
The client switch is used mainly for cases of business partner outsourcing, when one company supports interaction centers for several companies, or for companies who host more than one IC, for example, the EIC and the IC.

A new Customizing node, Client Switch, is created with the following new activities:
There are new entries for the client switch in the following Customizing activities:
- New framework ID, CLIENTSWITCH, which uses the vertical framework, in Define Framework ID and Parameters
- New workspace, CLIENT_SWITCH, in Define Customer-Specific Workspaces
- New workspace profile, SWITCH, in Define Profile for Automatically Created Workspaces
