Partner Determination in the Marketing Planner (New)

Use

On the Partners tab page, you can now determine partners automatically using the partner determination functionality. Previously it was the case that this could only be done manually. For example, you can now automatically set up the system so that a sold-to party is automatically determined as the billed-to party as well.

You can also use this function to determine partners based on business partner relationships and also more specifically you can determine business partner relationships for a particular sales organization.

Determining Partners from Campaign Hierarchy

As of CRM 5.0 you will be able to determine partners in the Marketing Planner automatically as well as manually, on the basis of a higher-level marketing project.

When you create a new marketing project, you will be able to determine the person responsible based on the log-on user.
You can also determine partners based on the sales organization or marketing organization.

Determining Partners During Campaign Execution

As of CRM 5.0, it will be possible to determine partners for generated activities/leads during campaign execution based on the marketing project that is linked . To enable this to take place, the Marketing Planner has to be available as a source in the access sequence in partner determination. This access sequence has to be assigned to a partner determination procedure which then has to be assigned to the generated activity transaction type/lead transaction type in Customizing.

When the target group is transferred to the channel, the campaign is used as the source and predecessor for an activity. This would allow you, for example, to determine the person responsible within a company for the activity graphic design.

Determining Partners in MSA Campaigns

In Mobile Sales, the following functionality is available:

  • When you create a new campaign, you will be able to determine the person responsible based on the log-on user.
  • You will be able to assign partners automatically as well as manually, on the basis of a higher-level marketing project.
  • You can also determine partners based on business partner relationships.
