Web Requests (New)
Use
In CRM Release 3.0, web requests are now available. You can use this new technology to model requests that are entered via the web and are processed within CRM. You have the option of using an XML schema to define as many fields as you want for a request form and to generate a HTML template from this schema. After you have sent the completed form, a service process that is linked to the request-specific data is created.
The service process in CRM is used to process the request. You can use this at any time to display the data from the request entered or to evaluate it for further processing.
You can use this combination of multifaceted functionality, which enables the processing of service processes and the option of linking transactions with any request data defined, to represent complex request-based processes.
The following individual functions have been realized for CRM 3.0:
- Defining a Request Using an XML Schema
When you set up a new request-based transaction, you can use an XML schema to define all fields that are of importance in the relevant request form. Here you have the option of providing individual fields with a reference to Data Dictionary objects.
- Generating an HTML Form
An HTML form is generated from the request schema defined and is used to enter data in the web. This makes it possible to distinguish between different request data views. Therefore, the processor can, for example, process additional fields that were not visible to the person placing the request.
- Default Values, Checks
You can use appropriate BAdI implementations to preassign fields specific to the request or to implement individual field checks for the different types of requests.
