Opportunity Management: New functions and detail infos at item level

Use

As of Release 3.0, the following additional functions and information are available at item level for each product:

  • Item details
On the Item details tab page, you can maintain the quantity, the expected product value and the item category for each product. You can also set a status for each product (in process, open, won). You can enter reasons for the status. For each item, you can also enter dates that you have defined using data management. (See also the release information Date Management in CRM).
  • Product information
On the Product information tab page, the three text types - product description, competitor item and item note - are available. The text for the product description already contains the product description from the product master data for the product, and, if available, the product graphic defined in the master data. You can enhance the text for the product descrition with your own text information.

Note that this tab page is only displayed if you have entered a text profile in Customizing for the item category used.
  • Conditions
On this tab page, the conditions for the product.
Note
Note that this tab page is only displayed if you have entered a document pricing procedure in Customizing for the transaction type used, and the Relevant for pricing flag is selected for the corresponding item category.
  • Information on competitors' products
On the Competitors tab page, you can define possible competitors for each item.
Note
Note that this tab page is only displayed if you have set up a partner determination procedure, which contains the partner function category competitor at least once, and if this partner determination procedure is assigned to the corresponding item category.
  • Partner
On the Partner tab page, you can defined partners for each item.
Note
This tab page is only displayed if you have entered a corresponding partner determination procedure in Customizing for the item category of the product, and this partner determination procedure contains the partner function category "sales partner".
  • Configuration
If you are working with configurable material, the Configuration tab page is displayed.
