Creating Survey Versions (changed)

Use

As of Release 3.1, you can create and manage different versions for a survey. This allows you to store a number of different survey versions, which you can refer to and use at a later date. You can create different survey versions to adjust the layout for different survey versions to suit specific marketing campaigns and target groups. For example, you may wish to present the same basic survey in tabular form for one target group, but in list form for another.

However, you should not use version management to change the basic contents of a survey. If you wish to add new questions or change existing questions, you should create a new survey for this purpose. Otherwise, the question and answer IDs used internally would no longer be correct, which would cause problems for result evaluation.

A new inteface is now available to manage survey versions. To access the Survey Version Overview screen, choose Display Versionsin the Survey Suite.
