Enhancements to the Marketing Planner

Use

  • Defaulting
When you create a campaign, trade promotion or deal, your name will automatically be defaulted in the Person Responsible field on the Basic Data tab page if you are a registered business partner of type Employee. You can still change the business partner in this field, however, should you wish.
The sales area information on the Basic Data tab page and the territory ID will be dependent on the Person Responsiblefield and in the case of trade promotions and deals is also dependent on the Customer field. This means that if sales organizations have been assigned to the person responsible, these will be the only sales organizations shown in the input help for the Sales Organization field. If there is more than one sales organization assigned, the first entry will be defaulted in the Sales Organization field. In the case that the Customer field contains a business partner hierarchy node, there will be no defaulting.
Note that neither the Person Responsible field or the sales fields are mandatory.
The sales area information and territory ID are defaulted but these entries can be deleted or changed as long as they are still valid for the person responsible and planning customer.
The planning customer can also only be assigned if the territory and sales area are valid for him.

If you create a trade promotion in Mobile Sales with a planning customer that is a hierarchy node, the hierarchy node should be defaulted. If a territory or sales area is assigned, these should be defaulted as well. The BP hierarchy node and sales area should be editable in the BP hierarchy search window. The territory should be editable in the standard selection tile. The new search criteria is saved along with other standard criteria.
  • Territory ID
If you enter a territory ID on the Basic Data tab page in the Marketing Planner, this will directly affect the products available on the Productstab page. This is because each product belongs to a category and the category can be assigned to this territory ID.
This means that you can restrict the products so that only products for a particular sales area or customer are displayed or can be assigned.
  • Authority Management
Authorization can be set up so that it is based on territory, sales area and/or status.
You will be able to change your own promotions but only view those belonging to someone else. You will only be able to create or change promotions for sales area and territories or customers that you are assigned to. There will be an authority check as well in the Marketing Calendar.
  • Customer Hierarchies
The Customizing for customer hierarchies has been enhanced. It is now possible to leave a blank entry. If you do this, the Marketing Planner works with the R/3 downloaded customer hierarchy of type Pricing (if any) or with any customer hierarchies of type Pricing that have been created in CRM. If you have entered a value, the Marketing Planner only works with the specified customer hierarchy, which must be of type Pricing.
  • Deal Creation in Mobile Sales
It is now possible to create deals both in CRM Enterprise and in Mobile Sales in CRM Field Applications. You can, however, only create single deals in Mobile Sales and not a deal hierarchy. Deals created in Mobile Sales can then be uploaded to CRM Enterprise and are editable in both. It is not possible to generate a deal hierarchy in CRM Enterprise for a deal created in Mobile Sales.
  • New Component for Business Partner Hierarchies
There is a new component Marketing/Hierarchyin Mobile Sales for business partner hierarchies. For this component there will be a tile set showing all trade promotions where the selected business partner hierarchy node is assigned as a planning customer.
There will also be new search criteria for the business partner hierarchy search window.
  • Sales Area Information in Campaigns
The sales areas are now available for campaigns in CRM Enterprise. This now enables exchange between CRM Enterprise and Mobile Sales.
  • Target Groups
When you create a promotion with a planning customer, sales area and territory, these are all transferred to the target group if you create one from this promotion.
There has been an enhancement to the standard selection for creating target groups (target group segmentation). The business partner hierarchy node, sales area and territory are now also used as search criteria. These are defaulted based on master data from the campaign, trade promotion or deal. You can save the new criteria along with your standard selection by setting the defaults in User -Specific Settings in the Marketing Planner. The default filter values are then automatically assigned when a value is entered in the Customer, Sales Area or Territory field.
You can also now deselect business partners instead of deleting them completely from a target group.
In Mobile Sales you can carry out mass rejection/activation of target group members. There is an Accept/Rejectbutton to enable you to do this, based on a result list.
