Printing Sales Contracts (New)

Use

You can print out sales contracts using the standard printing functions in CRM, thus enabling you to send contract information to different business partners in a variety of formats, such as by e-mail, fax or as a paper copy to be posted.

You can print out a contract by following one of the paths below:

  • If you are using the SAP GUI, choose the Actions tab page in the Contract Processingscreen and choose the Sales Contract action definition.
  • If you are using the People-Centric UI, choose Printin the toolbar on the Sales Contracts screen. You can also go to the Planned Actions tab page.

To print contracts, use the following objects:

  • Standard SmartForm CRM_SALES_CONTRACT_01 for creating a contract printout or you can design your own
  • Processing Class CL_DOC_PROCESSING_CRM_ORDER
  • Processing Method CRM_SALECONT_EXEC_SMART_FORM,,

The standard system contains an action profile called SALES_CONTRACT with a definition for printing contracts. You can use this action profile or create your own to allow different types of printouts for different business partners, or to allow printing acording to different conditions, such as immediately or when saving the contract.

Effects on Customizing

To change or create an action profile for printing sales contracts, go to the IMG for Customer Relationship Management under Business Transactions → Basic Functions → Actions → Actions in Business Transactions → Change Actions and Conditions → Define Action Profiles and Actions.

Please note that if you wish to be able to print contracts immediately using the Print button in the People-Centric UI, do not activate the Schedule Automaticallyfield in the action definition.

To assign the action profile to the business transaction types for your sales contracts, go to the IMG for Customer Relationship Management under Business Transactions → Basic Functions → Actions → Assign Action Profile to Business Transaction Type.
