Incompleteness Check (new)

Use

CRM Release 4.0 provides an incompleteness check in business transactions. This alerts you to missing document data during transaction processing by issuing a message in the application log. The incompleteness check can be used in all business transactions, that is, in sales transactions, service processes, leads, opportunities, activities and contracts.

You can access the relevant fields directly from the incompleteness check. You can then enter the data that is missing.

You determine the scope of the check in an incompleteness procedure in Customizing. Here, you can define which fields must be completed in order that the system can save the business transaction. In addition, you can also define whether a warning or error message should be issued if data is missing.

The scope of the check can differ for each business transaction. This means that you can configure the system to check different fields in a sales order than in an opportunity. You can set the incompleteness check to be independent of the transaction type, and also restrict it to certain business partners.

The incompleteness check is not available on the CRM Mobile Client.

You can configure the incompleteness check in Customizing under Customer Relationship Management → Basic Functions → Incompleteness → Define Incompleteness Procedure.

A Business Add-In is also available for the incompleteness check. In the IMG, choose Customer Relationship Management → Basic Functions → Incompleteness → Business Add-In for Incompleteness Check in Business Transaction.
