Document Templates for Content Management (new)

Use

From Release 4.0, you can create and manage templates for documents. These can be used in all the applications that support the Content Management functionality. For the business object Business partner, you also have the option when creating templates in MS Word, which are then filled with the corresponding data when a document is created in CRM. In future, this functionality will be extended to the other business object types.

The templates are defined in Customizing. MS Wordis opened from the maintenance transaction and you then use the MailMergefunction to insert the attributes of the corresponding business objects as variables.

In the Content Management applications, you use the context menu to access the templates (Create → Document → With document template).
