Customer-Specific External Catalog Views via OCI User Exit (new)

Use

As of CRM 4.0, ISA (R/3 Edition), you can now program a user exit so that customers can enter external catalogs with special views. You set up the function using an open catalog interface (OCI) user exit and it allows you to control your customers viewing of external catalogs.

Once you have programmed the user exit, customers can enter the external catalog and depending on their status the external catalog will present various view to teh customer.

The customer can either enter directly via the URL for the external catalog, or you can set up a field in your Web shop to provide a direct link to a catalog.

You set the external catalog field on your Web shop interface in the web application component Internet Sales in the the EXtended Configuration management system (XCM).
