Personalized mails (enhanced)
Use
As of Release 4.0, personalized mails have been enhanced with the following functions:
- E-mails in Multi-MIME format
- As of Release 4.0, mail forms can be created in Multi-MIME format, allowing different text types to be combined in a single mail. In this way, you can create two versions of an e-mail, one plain text and one HTML version, in a single form.
- When you create a mail form, you can now choose whether it will be a plain text, HTML, Multi-MIME or PDF form. If you select the text type Multi-MIMEat header level for the form, you have the option to mark individual text nodes within the form as plain text or HTML and therefor e combine these different text types . The advantage of this is that mail recipients with older systems that cannot display HTML mails can receive the same mail in a readable plain text version.
- The individual text types can be displayed and tested in a preview. Binary data such as graphics can also be integrated.
- WYSIWYG editor
- As of Release 4.0, a WYSIWYG editor is available for processing HTML mails.
- Images in HTML mails
- As of Release 4.0, you can integrate product information (e.g. images) directly into HTML mails. To do this, select Create -> Web graphic from the context menu and use Drag&Drop to place the image on the link in the mail form text. In plain text format (which cannot display these images), the graphics are sent with the mail as an attachment.
- Mails in PDF format
- As of Release 4.0, mails can be sent in PDF format. To do this, select text type PDF when creating the mail form.
- Enhancement of the tracking function for links
- To track whether customers have followed the links in a marketing mail, a contact counter is activated in CRM. Due to technical changes, we recommend that you no longer add two plus signs (++) to the corresponding URL, but rather two pound signs (##). Inserting the pound signs means that clicking on the link will activate the contact counter in CRM and then direct the mail recipient to the corresponding site.
