Allowed Functions in Partner Determination Procedure

Use

As of CRM 4.0 you can restrict the availability and use of partner functions in business transactions. Up to and including CRM 3.1 all partner functions had to be displayed in the transaction, but as of CRM 4.0 you can change this.

You can also prevent automatic inheritance of partner functions from header to item level in documents, saving you database space by displaying only necessary partner functions. This also improves data transfer between CRM Enterprise and CRM Mobile, where automatic partner inheritance from header to item level is not available.

Effects on Customizing

To set allowed functions in a business transaction select one of the two new settings in the Allowed Functions field when defining a partner determination procedure in Customizing.

Navigate to the Allowed Functions field in the Partner Determination Procedure box and select one of the two menu options:

  • A Only Functions Defined in Determination Procedure
Only partner functions determined in the partner determination procedure are displayed and available for use.
  • C All Defined Partner Functions
All partner functions, including those not in the partner determination procedure, are displayed and available for use, as is the case in up to and including CRM 3.1.
