Business Partner Fact Sheet in Mobile Sales (Enhanced)

Use

Customer Relationship Management 5.0 provides additional options for downloading the business partner fact sheet, enabling you to get a printable overview of the business partner concerned, including information from R/3 such as open invoices, credit information, delivery information.

The following options are available for downloading the fact sheet:

  • Fact sheets are generated automatically on the CRM Server based on an activity report. This report has to be scheduled to run periodically and check for activities meeting certain criteria, such as activity type, activity category. Fact sheets are replicated for all business partners or contact persons who are subscribed to the site. A subscription for fact sheets therefore has to have been made.
  • Fact sheets are beneficial for planning activities for business partners. From the Activity Search tile set, you have the option of requesting fact sheets for a list of business partners. A request mechanism allows fact sheets to be requested offline. The requests are sent to the server (using conntrans communication). The requests are received on the server and the fact sheets sent back to the site server (using conntrans communication).
  • The result list of the Activity Search tile set includes two new options, Request New Fact Sheets and Display Current Fact Sheet. The fact sheet is created either for all business activities or for specific activity transaction types. You can run the activity search with your own selection criteria. Fact sheets are created for the business partners linked to the activities listed in the result list of the activity search.

  • When you choose Display Current Fact Sheet, this takes you to the most recent version of the business partner fact sheet for the activity on which you are currently positioned.

  • When you request fact sheets, an offline request is created. The request is sent at a later point in time to the CRM Server using conntrans. The server creates PDF files for the fact sheets and sends them back to the laptop. The PDF files are then available and displayed in the preview tile.

  • The fact sheet can also be requested from the Business Partner Fact Sheet tile set, as before. However, the login process and connection mode check has been simplified by the use of persisted encrypted passwords for RFC calls. Additional fields are also available for the offline request, indicating when the last offline request was made.
  • If you are online, a direct RFC call is made and the fact sheet fetched from the CRM Server.

  • If you are offline, a request is written, as above.

In Mobile System Maintenance, choose Business Partner Settings -> Fact Sheet. In the Fact Sheet Parameter tile, specify the server connection data for the RFC call and the relevant login data.
In the Language for Fact Sheets and Language for Fact Sheet Texts tiles, specify the language in which the fact sheets should be created.
