CRM_IPS_4S_5: Business Function Social Services, Reductions
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 3 (SP04) for SAP CRM 7.0, business function Social Services, Reductions (CRM_IPS_4S_5), you can deploy benefit reductions to lower benefit payments for beneficiaries who do not meet their obligations (such as a doctor’s appointment, job interview, training course).
Benefit reductions are integrated in the social service plan (SSP) processing and associated UI. The following functions are supported:
- Generally you create a benefit reduction based on approved benefits by executing a follow-up change process on an existing SSP. The sample change processes G006 and G007 support this type of follow-up scenario as examples.
- Reductions are gross amounts that decrease gross entitlement amounts. They can be created retroactively for amounts that have already been payed or for future payments.
- Reductions can be made benefit-specific by assigning a reference benefit or cross-benefit.
- Reduction details are displayed in the Reduction Itemsassignment block. Reduction amounts are also provided below the entitlement amounts and payment amounts in the Gross Entitlement Amounts and Gross Payment Amountsassignment blocks. Reductions are also specified in the decision flow and the planned payments.
- Reduction processing is separated in the two process steps reduction determination and reduction calculation. Both process steps are fully integrated in entitlement processing. The associated reduction process step is triggered by choosing Entitlement Determination and Entitlement Calculationfrom the menu.
- Reductions can be created manually by the caseworker or automatically using BRFplus rules or BAdI implementations.
- Archiving of reductions is fully integrated in the existing archiving of SSP data.

Apply SAP note 2020552 if you are using the benefit reductions with SAP CRM 713 support package 4.
Effects on Customizing
You make the settings for the reduction determination in the CRM Customizing settings for Social Services under Customer Relationship Management -> Industry-Specific Solutions -> Public Sector -> Social Services -> Social Service Plan -> Reduction Determination.
In SAP ERP, you make the Customizing settings for the reduction calculation under Public Sector Management -> Social Services -> Gross Entitlement Calculation -> Define Reduction Calculation Exit Strategy and BAdI: Gross Reduction Calculation.
