CRM_UT_HANA_SCH_3: Business Function Utilities Free Text Search 3

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP CRM 7.0, the CRM_UT_HANA_SCH_3: Business Function Utilities Free Text Search 3 is available. This business function provides you with a number of enhancements to the existing functions in the SAP CRM Interaction Center for Utilities:

  • Business Partner Search and Quick View
When using the Free Text Search feature in the Identificationview to find a business partner, a suggestion list of matching business partners is displayed as you type. When you select one of the business partners from the list, a quick view window containing business partner details (name, address, and so on) is displayed. You can then confirm the business partner directly from the quick view window.
  • Confirm Business Partner
You can confirm a business partner using one of the following methods after typing free text in the search field:
  • Pressing ENTERon your keyboard (in the case of a single hit)

  • Clicking on the icon of an available suggestion in the drop down list

  • Using the down arrow key to make your selection and then pressing ENTERon your keyboard

  • Choosing the CONFIRM pushbutton on the quick view window

  • Premise Search and Quick View
You can search for a premise by typing any text in the search field, which may correspond to one, or a combination of different search criteria, for example, business partner ID, first name, last name, premise address, and so on. A suggestion list of matching premises is displayed as you type. When you select one of the premises from the list, a quick view window containing premise details (ID, Contract, Premise Status, and so on) is displayed. You can then confirm the premise directly from the quick view window.
  • Switch between Business Partner Search and Premise Search
You can switch between business partner search and premise search by clicking on the Business Partneror Premisepushbuttons.
  • Confirm Premise
You can confirm a premise in the same way you confirm a business partner.
  • Support for Standard Identification View
The Free Text Search feature is available in both the standard and enhanced Identificationviews.
  • Customizing
New Customizing has been created for Define Free Text Search Profiles under Customer Relationship Management -> Industry Specific Solutions -> Utilities Industry -> Settings for User Interfaces -> Identification.
