Price Protection
Use
The brand owner controls product pricing and determines which products will undergo price changes, the frequency of these changes, and methods of communicating the price changes. Price protection is a service extended by you to your channel partners to protect them from margin losses resulting from price reductions. This process enables you to calculate your liabilities flowing from a price reduction, based on the channel inventory data and the price protection rules that you have configured.
It is also possible to perform a 'simulation run' for a price change percentage to first view your estimated liability before actually modifying the pricing condition master and performing the 'real' price protection run.
