Customizing of the SAP IPC via IMG (New)

Use

In former releases, you have to maintain customizing settings of the SAP Internet Pricing and Configurator (SAP IPC) in the tables COMM_IPC_DEST and COMM_IPC_URL.

• The customizing table COMM_IPC_DEST contains client-specific parameter mapping for the RFC (remote function call) destinations of CRM IPC servers and dispatchers, as well as URLs (Unique Resource Locators) of the IPC user interfaces.

• The customizing table COMM_IPC_URL contains the cross-client URLs (Unique Resource Locators) for the IPC user interface.

• The implementation guide activity Customer Relationship Management/ CRM Middleware and Related Components/ Communication Setup/ Define RFC Destinations contains the cross-client RFC destinations of the IPC.

As of release 4.0 of the SAP IPC, you can maintain the customizing tables from the CRM Implementation Guide (IMG). The IMG activities are located in the CRM IMG under Customer Relationship Management/ Basic Functions/ Product Configuration.

• The table COMM_IPC_DEST can now be maintained with the activity Set RFC destinations and URLs.

• The table COMM_IPC_URL can now be maintained with the activity Define URLs.
