New Single Role in SAP Markets Enterprise Buyer on an Exchange

Use

There is a new single role for the multi company-single client scenario of Enterprise Buyer on an Exchange that allows each company to maintain their own data, such as account assignment data. Users with the role company administrator (SAP_EC_BBP_COMPANY_ADMIN) can make the following Customizing settings:

• Specify where the account assignment check is performed, that is, local validation or no validation of FI data, see also Define backend systems.

• Define G/L account for product category and account assignment category.

• Maintain local accounting data.

• Enter tax codes.

• Customizable messages, see Flexible Message Control.

• Customizable XML messages, see Flexible Message Control.

These transactions can be accessed from the Web interface and do not require the company administrator to access the actual Enterprise Buyer SAP GUI system; in the multi-company scenario it is unlikely that each company would have access to this system.

As a result, the workload of marketplace administrator is considerably reduced, they still have to initially define the backend FI system of the buying company, for example, but the data maintenance relevant to this FI system is done by the company administrator. This reduces effort and the margin of processing error.

In this release, this functionality is only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
