New Business Add-Ins

Use

The following Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are available in the Implementation Guide (IMG) as of Enterprise Buyer professional edition Release 3.0:

• Check Purchasing Document

You can use this general BAdI with all Enterprise Buyer applications to create your own checks and to output your own messages.
Example: You can use this BAdI to check payment reference numbers that are necessary for vendor line items in Scandinavian countries.

• Carry out Activity During Saving

You can use this BAdI to call a specific program during saving of the purchasing document. The BAdI enables you to update own data or tables when you save a document to the database (customer-specific statistics, for example).

• Change Data of Purchasing Documents

You can use this BAdI to overwrite certain data of the purchasing document (for example, the posting date). All typical checks are performed on your changes.
For Release 3.0A, the BAdI only contains methods for changing of shopping cart and confirmation.
Note: This BAdI replaces the previous BAdI Change Shopping Cart Items.

• Control Direct Material Procurement

You can use this BAdI to stipulate whether a product can be ordered as a direct material. In doing so, you overwrite the standard processing that orders a material as direct material if it has been replicated from the backend system.

• Send XML Document to Planning System

You can use this BAdI to control whether an incoming XML document is also sent to the planning system. In doing so, you overwrite the standard processing that only sends an incoming XML document to the backend system.

• Determine Tax Code

You can use this BAdI to define other tax code determination. In doing so, you overwrite the standard processing that determines the tax code dependent on domestic/international indicator, country, and product category. See the IMG for Enterprise Buyer professional edition -> Application-Specific Basic Settings -> Define Tax Code for Country/Product Category.

• Change Tax Data

You can change and supplement the data used for tax calculation with this BAdI. The BAdI overwrites settings for assignment of fields in Enterprise Buyer to fields in the tax calculation system. See the IMG for Enterprise Buyer professional edition -> Application-Specific Basic Settings -> Assign Enterprise Buyer Tax Code to FI System.

• Control Extended Classic Scenario

You can use this BAdI to overwrite activation of the extended classic scenario. See the IMG for Enterprise Buyer professional edition -> Application-Specific Basic Settings -> Activate Extended Classic Scenario.

• Authorization to Change During Approval

This BAdI allows you to define whether a shopping cart can be changed during approval and how approval workflow reacts when a document is changed. This BAdI overwrites the role settings for authorization level of the approver.

The following BAdIs have been enhanced for Enterprise Buyer professional edition Release 3.0A:

• The BAdI Change Worklist Display (previously available for purchase order, invoice, confirmation, has been extended. You can now also use it in the Status Check (Shopping Cart) application.

• For technical reasons, the BAdIs for the Shopping Cart have been replaced with Business Add-Ins with the same functionality.
  Note: In Release 3.0A, the previous versions are available alongside the new ones. In the Enterprise Buyer IMG, however, you will only find the new BAdIs.

The following BAdIs have been renamed in the IMG for Enterprise Buyer professional edition Release 3.0A:

• Specify External Print Settings for Office Documents
  -> Specify Print Settings for Purchase Order Attachments
  

The following BAdIs were removed from the structure for Enterprise Buyer professional edition Release 3.0A:

• Business Add-Ins for Enterprise Buyer -> Change Shopping Cart Items

• Business Add-Ins for Enterprise Buyer -> Define Output Parameters for Purchase Orders

Note:You can continue to use implementations involving BAdIs removed from the IMG structure.
