Consistency Check in Generation of Multiple Users
Use
As of Release 3.5, system administrators have a new monitoring tool with which they can check the consistency of those users created in the Customizing activity Read Users from File or Other System. They can also repair any users that are inconsistent within the same transaction, after initial generation. The tool can, however, also be used once the system is live to repair problems that may occur as a result of, for example, an error in an organizational unit.
System administrators can monitor:
- Individual users
- Multiple users
- All users
An indicator can be selected that restricts the monitoring function to those users that are already integrated in the organizational model. It can be selected for both individualand multiple users, but not for allusers.
The results of the check are displayed in a table with user status represented by traffic lights:
- Red
- Users with this status can be repaired from the initial screen of the transaction
- Yellow
- Users with this status can be repaired from this screen
- Green
- Users with this status are consistent and do not need repairing
System administrators can only repair one user at a time. It is important that if the user to be repaired is active in a productive system, no open documents exist for this user at the time of repair.
