/SAPMP/GEN_CI_1: Changeable Characteristic Values in the Returns Order (New)
Use
Up to now, when creating a return order with reference to the billing document, the system copied the characteristic values of the sales order and not the characteristic values of the delivered batch. The characteristic values could not be changed. However, the processes of the Mill Products Industries (outbound delivery with tolerances or deviating batch characteristics) require that the data of the delivered batch be proposed.
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Discrete Industries & Mill Products (ECC-DIMP 602), Enhancement Package 2, business function Mill OrderToCash & Global Trade (/SAPMP/GEN_CI_1), the system proposes the delivered batch when creating the returns order. You can now change the characteristic values.
For changed characteristic values, you can use the delivered batch for a single-unit batch, or you can create a new batch. For a factor batch, you must always create a new batch.

If you want to use this function, you must activate the business function Discrete Indus.- Mill Products (DIMP_SDUD) and Mill OrderToCash & Global Trade (/SAPMP/GEN_CI_1).
You must also make the following Customizing settings:
- In the IMG activity Define Item Categories you must set the Ret.w.BatchRef indicator for a returns item category.
- In the IMG activity Copy, Change Movement Types you must choose the setting '1' - Classification carried out in background (all batches) in the Classify Batches field, and choose setting '2' - Copy only configuration characteristics or setting '3 -' Characteristics frm configuration (prio) and classification in the Copy Char. field.
