Calling Release Notes and Notes

Description

To access the release notes for EH&S Release 2.5A from outside the standard, proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP R/3 screen, choose the transaction SE61.
The Document Maintenance: Initial Screen appears.
  1. In the Document class field, use the input help to choose the title Release Notes and then choose Copy.
The R/3 System then updates the Release Notes RELN field in the Document group box.
  1. In the Language field, enter the value English (or German if required).
  2. In the field underneath the Release Notes RELN field, enter the character string EHS_25A*.
  3. Call the input help (F4).
The Hit list dialog box appears in which you see a list of all Release Notes for EH&S Release 2.5A.

Note the following naming conventions:
Release notes for the R/3 component Dangerous Goods Management begin with EHS_25A_DGP.
Release notes for the R/3 component Occupational Health begin with EHS_25A_HEA.
Release notes for the R/3 component Industrial Hygiene and Safety begin with EHS_25A_IHS.
Release notes for the R/3 component Product Safety begin with EHS_25A_SAF.
General release notes for the R/3 component Environment, Health and Safety begin with EHS_25A.
  1. Double-click on the release note you require.
The key is copied over.
  1. Choose Document -> Display.
The document is displayed in SAPscript.
  1. Choose Document -> Screen output.
The screen output appears with functioning hyperlinks.

Changes in procedure

As of EH&S Release 2.5A, the individual components of the R/3 component Environment, Health and Safety appear on the SAP R/3 screen under Logistics -> Environment, Health & Safety.

Further notes

For EH&S Release 2.5A, the individual Implementation Guides (IMG) for the R/3 component Environment, Health & Safety have been restructured.

To adopt the Implementation Guide structure changes in your Enterprise IMG and your Project IMG, you must regenerate them. For more information, see Tools -> Business Engineer -> Customizing in the SAP R/3 screen. Choose the function Read Me and then the function Upgrade within Release 4.0 in the First steps group box.
