Global Changes in Industrial Hygiene and Safety

Description

The following new global features are available:

Change Document Creation

By means of the link to change document creation, all data changes are documented by documents in the SAP System.

New Options in Hit List Display

After you have executed a search query, you can subsequently reduce the number of hits in the hit list using the option Manual reduction in the Utilities menu.

Hit list entries for which requested activities cannot be executed are indicated by a color symbol.

Effects on System Administration

With the SAP EH&S Release 2.7, integration with other SAP applications is possible for Industrial Hygiene and Safety as follows:

  • Integration in Personnel Time Management for absences in incident/accident management
  • Integration in Organizational Management for the work area
  • Integration in Plant Maintenance for IHS safety measures
  • Use of SAP Business Partners for external persons in incident/accident management (available since SAP EH&S Release 2.5)

If you want to use integration, you should note the following:

Integration in Personnel Time Management
In the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Industrial Hygiene and Safety in the activity Specify Environment Parameters, assign the appropriate RFC destination for the environment parameter DEST_HR.
Integration in Organizational Management
Retain the preset data distribution by Application Link Enabling (ALE), otherwise you cannot use integration.
Integration in Plant Maintenance and Use of SAP Business Partners
You can use integration without data distribution by ALE by entering the corresponding RFC destination for the environment parameters DEST_PM and DEST_BU in the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters.
Recommendation
Retain the standard system settings for data distribution by ALE for integration with all applications other than Personnel Time Management.
