New Function: Phrase Status
Description
The phrase status has been implemented in phrase management for SAP EH&S Release 2.7A.
You can assign the phrase status to the phrase items of a phrase. However, you can use phrase management without the status assignment.
For each status you can define whether a phrase item with this status
- may be processed
- may be output on a report (see also release note New Functions in Report Generation)
- may be used for specification value assignment without a warning being issued
- may be changed to another status
Effects on Customizing
To check the standard settings for the phrase status and define a new phrase status if necessary, process the IMG activity Specify Phrase Status.
Dependent functions
Phrase import and export
When importing and exporting phrases, you can set the Phr. itm status indicator in order to transfer the phrase status from the import file when importing and from the SAP System when exporting. You can set this indicator in the exchange profile thereby making it a default setting. You set up exchange profiles in Customizing for Product Safety in the IMG activity Specify Exchange Profiles.

You use the authorization object C_EHSP_TPP to assign authorization for a phrase status (see also release note Changes in Phrase Management).
