EWM, Essential Foundation Functions (Changed)

Use

As of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) 9.0, the business function EWM, Essential Foundation Functions (SCM_EWM_FND) is available.

This business function should be switched on in your SAP EWM 9.0 system directly after technical deployment of SAP EWM 9.0. It activates features that are technically situated in lower level software components in the SAP EWM software component stack. These features of lower software components are used in the following features:

As of SAP EWM) 9.2, the business function EWM, Essential Foundation Functions is used with the following features:

  • Using the period indicator in the determination of shelf life expiration and latest delivery date
  • Quality management inspection before goods reciept

Effects on Existing Data

The user interface has been enhanced in the following ways:

  • The Maintain Warehouse Product user interface has been enhanced with the Preferred Unit of Measure field on the Storageand Warehouse Datatabs.
As of SAP EWM 9.2, the Maintain Warehouse Productuser interface has been enhanced with the fields PI Shelf Life, Shelf Life PI, and Min.Sh.Life PI, on the Propertiestab page, and the Blocked for Quality Reasons field, on the Warehouse Data tab page.
To use this feature, on the SAP Easy Accessscreen, choose Extended Warehouse Management →Master Data →Product→Maintain Warehouse Product.
  • The Maintain Supply Chain Unit user interface has been enhanced with the Supply Chain Unit Display Type field.
To use this feature, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Extended Warehouse Management→Master Data→Maintain Supply Chain Unit.
  • As of SAP EWM 9.2, the Business Partner user interface has been enhanced with the field Blocked for Quality Reasonson the Statustab page for the role Vendor.
To use this feature, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Extended Warehouse Management→Master Data →Maintain Business Partner.
