Maintaining the financial statement version

Description

You can now easily maintain and display financial statement versions within a tree structure. Previously financial statement versions were displayed/maintained level by level.

The new maintenance method has the following advantages:

• Items and accounts can be displayed within a structure.

• G/L account names can be displayed within the structure.

• Item keys can be automatically assigned.

• You can check while in the maintenance function whether accounts have been allocated to one side of the balance sheet only.

The maintenance concept for the financial statement version has not been changed.

Introducing the new maintenance method has required some terms to be changed or standardized:

You maintain financial statement versions using the General Ledger Accounting Implementation Guide. You can find more information in the "Define financial statement versions" step in the General Ledger Implementation Guide.

The "Enter planning" and "Display planning" functions also use the display of the financial statement version as a tree structure.
