Short text
Completing parked documents
Description
You can park incomplete documents within document entry and complete them little by little. Previously
the parked documents had to be passed on manually to those people responsible for the next step of the completion. This can now be reproduced in the system.
Completing documents
A so-called workflow is started when a document is parked. This workflow only contains the "complete"
task. The users who have the task of completing incomplete documents are assigned to this "complete"
task. These users receive a mail and can change the parked document. They can then pass on this mail
to the next employee for them to complete it. An entry for completion appears in the inbox until such time as the parked document is marked as complete by the user.
Workflow templates for completing documents
A workflow template (WS00400004) for completing documents is delivered with the standard system. To be able to use this workflow template in the respective client, you must copy it using the tools from the workflow workbench.
You carry out this function in the "SAP Business Workflow (Development)" menu. Here you select the path Utilities -> Other tools -> Copy task.
Event linkage for the CREATED event
If a workflow is to be used for completing parked documents, you must enter the event linkage for the CREATED event using the workflow workbench. What you enter is displayed in the following overview:
Object type FIPP
Event CREATED
Receiver type WS00400004
Receiver FM SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
Check function
Receiver type FM
Global X
Enabled X
You carry out this function in the "SAP Business Workflow (Development)" menu. Here you select the path Utilities -> Other tools -> Event linkage.
Standard task for completing documents
The users who complete parked documents must have the "Complete parked document" (TS00407848) task assigned to them. For this purpose, you create organizational objects in PD or via the workflow workbench. You assign users to these and in turn assign the organizational objects to the above-mentioned standard task.
You carry out this function in the "SAP Business Workflow (Development)" menu. Here you select the path Definition tools -> Tasks.
