Enhancements to the transport function in FI-SL beginning Release 3.0A

Description

With Release 3.0A enhancements have been made to the transport function in FI-SL:

  • Automatic transport record entry when installing FI-SL tables: When installing FI-SL tables, a pop-up window appears in which you enter the order request number. All of the table changes regarding the installation are then entered in this order.
  • Automatic record entry in FI-SL Customizing: In ledger maintanence, all changes are recorded in a request, that is after the central SAP-record entry function in the client table has been activated. An automatic transport record entry based on the same premises also exists in field movement maintanence, activity maintanence and in the maintanence of company code or global company assignments.
  • Manual transport functions for company code assignments: When maintaining assignments (ledger, activity) for a company code, you can call up the function 'Transport' on the initial screen of transaction GCB1. A transport request is generated which contains all of the assignments for the selected company code. The company code's master data definition (T001) is also transported.
  • Manual transport functions for global company assignments: When maintaining assignments (ledger, activity) for a global company, you can call up the function 'Transport' on the second screen of the transaction GCG2. A transport request is generated which contains all of the assignments for the selected global company. The global company's master data definition (T880) is also transported.
