FI-LC: Delta Selections for Totals Reports

Description

Selections of data (or extracts) from the totals table are required for the totals reports in Consolidation. The data selections are stored in an edited and compressed form in a separate table.

Until now, if any further postings were performed after a selection was made a new "full" extract was required to generate another totals report.

The selection function is now able to determine whether a new full selection is necessary. If not, only the 'delta documents' are chosen and the compressed dataset is extended. The delta selection can only process consolidation documents with posting levels 2 to 4 (i.e., no standardizing entries).

This delta selection is only possible under the following circumstances:

• A full selection must already have been performed with the same parameters.

• The status for the subgroup must have remained on 'Translation blocked' for all of its companies.

• No ratios are to be calculated.

If a full selection must be enforced, the program 'RGCSEL01' is available. This is not found in the menu.

Changes in procedure

The user does not need to make any changes. The selection program automatically makes the decision between a full and a delta selection.

The user is informed in the log whether and why a full selection or a delta selection was performed.
