FI-LC: Enhancements to Subgroup Maintenance

Description

  1. The request screen in subgroup maintenance contains 'period' as a new option. It is used to display by period or to update group shares. So far, period 012 was hard-coded, which during the fiscal year, either led to an incorrect display in the subgroup, or period 12 could only be avoided by starting the ownership calculation twice. The subgroup composition remains year- and version-dependent.
  2. Now, information on the inclusion in a consolidated entity can be stored for every company of the subgroup. You can switch back and forth between this and the previous information with the function keys "Consolidation steps" or "Consolidated entity".
  • Indicator 'Reason for Inclusion or exemption' from consolidation, which overrides the default specifications in the company master record,

  • company type (affiliated, purchase method, consolidated or joint venture company) from the point of view of the parent company

  • company type from the point of view of the entire subgroup

  1. For every company, the date of first consolidation and the begin of the amortization of goodwill can be chosen per subgroup. You can access maintenance by double-clicking on the company line. The definitions in the company master record act as a default.
  2. In addition to the calculated group share, the (deviating) shares in voting, non-voting and retained equity as well as the direct share of the respective intermediate parent companies are displayed for every company. The values are derived from the definitions for Changes in Investments.

Effects on Customizing

To maintain consolidated entity information, choose the step Maintain subgroups in chapter Master Data in the Implementation Guide. The information on the group shares is automatically built when executing the release upgrade.
