Additional Account Assignments for Insurance: Enhanced AAAI Storage (New)

Use

From SAP ECC Industry Extension Insurance 6.0, you can use a new function for storing additional account assignments for insurance (AAAI) when posting documents. If you use this new storage function, there is no longer a restriction for the KONTL field.

You can choose whether you want to use the existing, known storage function or the extended AAAI storage. If you activate enhanced storage, the system stores the data from the fields for AAAI in a separate table and you can use as many AAAI fields as you like. The KONTL field only contains a GUID, which refers to this table.

Effects on Existing Data

• It is still possible to read documents, which have been posted with the previous storage type.

• If you have already posted documents with enhanced storage, you cannot deactivate the function to return to the previous type of processing.

The system can then no longer process the data correctly.

• If you use enhanced storage, you now also have the option of making changes to your customer-specific AAAI fields after you have posted documents with this structure.

The system allows you to adjust the existing table structure with data conversion to your new specifications.

Effects on Data Transfer

Note that, from Release 6.00, the system no longer automatically transports customer-specific AAAI structures (see the Transport Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments for Insurance release note).

Effects on System Administration

In order to be able to use the enhanced AAAI storage, you first have to create and activate the CI_VZK_NEW customer include.

You can find more information about the CI_VZK_NEW customer include in the Collections/Disbursements IMG, under Basic Functions -> Additional Account Assignments for Insurance -> Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments for Insurance -> Include for Enhanced AAAI Storage.

Effects on Customizing

If you want to use enhanced storage, activate the function in the Collections/Disbursements IMG, under Basic Functions -> Activation of Basic Functions.

If you have activated enhanced AAAI storage, you must generate the additional account assignments. You can fund this activity in the Collections/Disbursements IMG, under Basic Functions -> Additional Account Assignments for Insurance -> Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments for Insurance -> Generate Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments.
