Changes in the IMG for SAP Claims Management
Use
As of SAP ECC Industry Extension Insurance 6.0 the following changes have been made to the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide(IMG) under SAP Insurance → Claims Management:
Product Configuration node
- Under Business Add-Ins, the IMG activities BAdI: Call of Input Help for Policy Numberand BAdI: Call of Policy Transaction in Policy Management System are new.
Business Settings node
- Under Status Within a Claim the entry Enhance Navigation Targets in Claim has been removed. The entry now only exists under Structuring Business Processes → Activity Management.
- Under Damaged Objects/Diagnoses → Damaged Objects/Injured Persons the IMG activity Import Catalog for Insured Objects is new.
- Under Claim Item the following IMG activities are new:
- Assign Benefit Types to a Benefit Type Group
- Define Benefit Type Determination
- Under External Services Integration the IMG activity Enhance Category of Reference Location for External Services is new.
- Under Payments → Authorizations for Payments and Subrogation/Recovery the IMG activities Define Authorization Groups and Create Authorizations have been deleted. You can now only make these settings in one central place under Technical Settings -> Authorizations for all authorizations in the Claims Management system.
- Under Reservesthe node Authorizations for Reserves and all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- The node Benefit Split and all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- The following changes have been made to Notes:
- IMG activity Define Authorization Groups for Notes is new.
- The node Text Templates for Notes and all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- Under Correspondencethe IMG activity Office Integration: Configure Document Templatesis new.
- The node Negotiation and all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- The node Litigation and all the IMG activities under this node are new. This includes the new node Litigation Levelunder Litigation.
- The node Role-Based Performerand all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- The node Processes in Health and Care Insurance has been renamed Business Processes, since settings for accident insurance, for example, are also made here.
- The node Claim Handler Groupshas been reassigned under Process Control (Internal Claim Types). In addition, the following changes have been made here:
- The IMG activity Assign User to Claim Handler Grouphas been renamed Assign User to a Claim Handler Group (Individual Processing).
- The IMG activity Assign User to a Claim Handler Group (Mass Processing)is new.
- The following changes have been made to Workers Compensation:
- IMG activity Define Disability Classesis new.
- IMG activity Assign Benefits Catalog to a Disability Classesis new.
- IMG activity Define Benefits Catalog and Catalog Variant has been deleted.

Structuring Business Processes node
- The following changes have been made under Activity Management:
- The previous IMG activities Define Tasks and Log Entries, Define Activities, and Assign Activities to a Task have been grouped in one IMG activity (in a view cluster). This new IMG is called Configure Tasks, Log Entries and Activities.
- IMG activity Ignore Priorities for Tasksis new.
Technical Settings node:
- The node BDT Customizing with the IMG activity Claim Task Level Menuis new.
- The following changes have been made under Process Control via Display of Function Codes:
- The previous IMG activities Configure Display of Function Codes and Define Copy Function Codes and Default Behavior have been grouped in one IMG activity (in a view cluster). This new IMG activity is called Configure Display of Function Codes.
- IMG activity Configure Function Codes for Status Changesis new.
- IMG activity Define Handler Modules for Function Codesis new.
- The following changes have been made under Search → Claim Search :
- IMG activity Define Settings for Claim Search for Each Use is new.
- IMG activity BAdI: Adjust Search for Claimshas been deleted.
- Under Screen Modifications → Business Add-Insthe IMG activity BAdI: Change to Texts/Icon for BDT GUI Additional Functions is new.
- The node Settings for Policy Snapshotand all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- The node Settings for Claim Subobject Integrationand all the IMG activities under this node are new.
- Under SAP Archive Link Integration IMG activity Process Document Types of Claims Management (FS-CM) is new.
- Under Change History of Claim the IMG activity BAdI: Define Foreign Key Relationships for Display of Change History is new.
The node Settings for Scenario Claim Without Product Customizing is new.
Structuring Business Processes node
- Under Activity Managementthe IMG activity Define Permitted Manual Tasks/Log Entries for Each Claim Bundle Type is new.
Technical Settings node:
- The node BDT Customizing with the IMG activity Claim Bundle Task Levelis new.
- Under Claim Bundle Search, IMG activity Define Settings for Claim Bundle Search for Each Use is new.
The following general changes have been made under SAP Insurance:
The node Basic Functionshas been deleted because the two IMG activities Distribution of Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments and Customer-Specific Insurance Additional Account Assignments have been deleted. The only remaining IMG activity Generate Customer-Specific Additional Account Assignments has been reassigned to Collections & Disbursements.
