Policy Snapshot (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC Industry Extension Insurance 6.0 a new user interface is available for the Policy Snapshot.

The policy snapshot now contains the following screens:

General Information

Here you can view and change data on the contract (such as contract number, inception/end date). Product information is also displayed, but this cannot be changed.

Contract Overview

The contract overview is shown as a tree structure. It has a hierarchy area and a list area. You can adjust any of the contents in Customizing.

The hierarchy nodes Limits, Deductibles, and Sums Insured are shown in the overview tree according to the business context.

Regardless whether a limit (or deductible or sum insured) is stored at a higher level or directly with an insured object, the system displays the relevant limit (or deductible or sum insured) for each insured object.

Changes that you make to the contract are not transferred to the overview tree until you update it.

For better clarity, you can collapse or expand parts of the tree or the entire tree.

Insured Objects / Persons

All insured objects are displayed with additional object information in an overview. You can view and change the insured objects in detailed views. Different detail views are available. In Customizing you can define which detail view should be displayed for which object category.

Coverages

You can define which coverages you want to view.

Benefit Types

You can only view the benefit types on a separate screen if the interface to a policy system has been activated.

Limits and Deductibles

You can define which limits and deductibles you want to view.

Sums Insured

The screen for sums insured is set up in the same way as the screen for limits and deductibles. The only difference is that you cannot select "Contract Level" as a display option.

On the Policy Snapshot node there is now a new Change Policy Snapshot pushbutton that you can use to navigate directly to change mode.

To use the new policy snapshot, in Customizing activity Internal Claim Type: Define Claim Handler Group and Screen Sequences for Expert Mode, replace the screen sequence that you are currently using for the policy snapshot with the screen sequence CLPS01 in the subclaim types for which you want to use the new policy snapshot.
