INS_FSCM_CI_1: Second Injury Fund for Workers Compensation
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0,Industry Extension Insurance, Enhancement Package 3, Business Function INS_FSCM_CI_1, you can enter information on the second injury fund (SIF) in Workers Compensation claims.
The second injury fund is available in some states in the USA and helps pay some Workers Compensation benefits when a pre-existing injury combines with a subsequent injury to produce disability greater than that caused by the second injury alone.
- In Workers Compensation claims you can now enter the SIF status and thus indicate whether this is a potential SIF claim or whether and to what extent the SIF has already agreed to make a payment.
- In addition, when you adjust reserves, repetitive payments and refunds, you can indicate that these adjustments have been made because of the SIF-relevance of the claim.
