Configuration Views for SW Products

Description

In the knowledge base of the SW product, the variant configuration allows you to organize characteristics within a class for multiple views.

IS-SW makes use of this functionality, and provides in a customizing table, five different view indicators for the following processes:

1. Printing of SW product characteristics in SD documents
2. Updating SD-relevant LIS structures with configuration data (see
   Configuration and LIS)
3. Updating PM-relevant LIS structures with configuration data (see
   Configuration and LIS)
4. Displaying IBASE characteristics in PM/SM's Object Information Window (see Enhanced Object Information)
5. Matching maintenance level management relevant characteristics in the selection process

The views operate as filters and allow you to reduce and select the relevant characteristics to be used in the respective processes.
