Process: Creating a License Bump

Description

A license bump involves a change to an existing license. In IS-SW, the process of creating a license bump is a variation of the basic process of creating a software license.

The process includes these steps:

1. Creating a quotation (optional)/Creating a sales order.
1. Creating a header.
2. Creating a line item. See Reference to IBASE.
3. Configuring a software license.
4. Configuring a software key.
2. Calculating the price of a software license. See Configuration Delta Pricing.
3. Posting of process data to the IBASE record. See Configuration Inheritance.
4. Creating a delivery (optional).
5. Recording a maintenance level (optional).
6. Billing a software license.
7. Output
