Scheduler for cross-system reporting (program RPMREP00)

Description

The scheduler enables evaluation of data across different systems. Evaluation results are displayed in one system.
The scheduler is run in the system (referred to as "leading" system in the following) in which you also specify the systems in which the evaluations are to be executed.

When you have specified the required systems, the program and an existing program variant, distributed reporting is started in the leading system. At regular intervals, the scheduler checks whether the evaluations in the different systems have been completed.

When the reporting results are available in all local systems and in the leading system, data is summarized and output in the leading system.

Damage caused to data by errors

Software/hardware requirements

  • The scheduler can only be used if the customizing settings in the different systems are identical.
  • The name of RFC connections must be identical in all systems.
  • The personnel number must be unique across the different systems.
  • To use the output function, you must configure the program for distributed reporting; this means you must keep selection and presentation of data separate, use the FORM routines MEMORY_IMPORT, MEMORY-EXPORT and REDEFINE, or the output function module HR_DISPLAY-BASIC_LIST.
  • All systems must be available.
  • Free jobs must be available for batch operation.
