Enhancement of country reassignment function:

Scope of Functions

  • Transferring user Exit Technology to business add in technology
In this Release, the user exit Customer enhancement for special personnel actions is being changed to a business add in, The corresponding business add in includes the functions of the user exit in its functionality.
There are also two tables available with the business add in, which enable you to use the log function of the application log for customer implementation (that is, when the BADI is active).

  • Enhancement of country reassignment of relationships in Training and Event Management

Note:
As the business add in controls the execution of the special personnel action for leavings, the behavior for both country reassignments and leavings will be described in this Release Note.

A country reassignment or leaving effects the relationships of an employee as far as his/her education and training in the Training and Event Management component. In this context, the following relationships are effected:
  • B025 takes part in (employees attendance at a business event)

  • B027 is prebooked for (employee prebooking for business event)

  • B023 is reserved by (reservation of employee as resource for a business event)

  • B034 has attended (education and training history of employee)

Leaving
  • If an employee leaves, the relationships are deleted after the leaving date. Relationships that are valid on the leaving date are delimited (applies to prebookings) or are left. Employee attendances and reservations are checked, to see if payroll or clearing documents exist. If there are clearing documents, it must be decided how to proceed with the relationships (in other words, they remain and appear in the log with an indicator).

A cancelation record is created for deleted attendances. However, the move-up procedure for attendees is executed for the relevant waiting list in Customizing. If resource reservations are deleted, the relevant resource type for the business event type concerned is flagged as open (not reserved).
Country reassignment
In the case of a country reassignment, the relationships that were deleted for the leaving are copied to the new personnel number. Previous attendances (025/takes part in) are copied to the new personnel number so that a complete education and training history is maintained. If the employee has previously been reserved as a resource, this is not copied to the new personnel number.
  • Application log link:
From this Release, a country reassignment is linked to the application log, in other words, a log file is written for every action carried out for a country reassignment.
You can display these log files using either the report Error handling after country reassignment/ leaving or in Master Data maintenance using the Country assignments function, Path: Extras -> Country assignments).
