Changes in function ARADV

Use

Function ARADV (calculation of the deduction of advance payments) has been enhanced so as to offer the additional posibility to:

  • deduct the pay at specific intervals, or

  • deduct the pay in a normal payroll run in a subsequent payroll period.

In order to do this:

  • two new off-cycle categories have been created: ADER for advance payments for which taxes have to be calculated, and ADES for advance payments for which no taxes have to be calculated.

  • two new wage types have been created: MX22, to be used in infotype One-Time Payments Off-Cycle (0267), in combination with off-cycle category ADES, and MX23 to be used in infotype One-Time Payments Off-Cycle (0267), in combination with off-cycle category ADER.

Effects on Existing Data

If you want to deduct the advance payments at specific intervales:

  1. Enter one of the following wage types in infotype One-Time Payments Off-Cycle (0267):
  • MX23 if you want to calculate taxes on the advance payment, OR

  • MX22 if you do not want to calculate taxes on the advance payment.

  1. Enter the same wage type in infotype Recurrment Payments/Deductions (0014) but with a negative sign.

  1. Enter one of the following wage types in infotype One-Time Payments Off-Cycle (0267):
  • MX23 if you want to calculate taxes on the advance payment, OR

  • MX22 if you do not want to calculate taxes on the advance payment.
