Integration Add-On 1.0 SP06: Integration of Employee Data (Enhanced)

Use

As of Support Package 06 for the integration add-on 1.0 for SAP ERP Human Capital Management and SuccessFactors Business Execution, the following new functions are available for the integration scenario for employee data:

  • Enhancement of the application for monitoring the transfer of data from SAP ERP to SuccessFactors BizX
The application for monitoring the transfer of data from SAP ERP to SuccessFactors BizX (Web Dynpro application HRSFI_MONITORING_EMPL) was enhanced with a transfer log that you can use to display all transferred employee data.
For more information, see SAP Library and choose Integration Scenario for Employee Data -> Monitoring the Transfer of Data from SAP ERP to SuccessFactors BizX -> Monitoring the Transfer of Employee Data.
  • Extension of the enhancement concept
If you want to enhance the extraction of employees with customer-specific fields, you can now also map field names and field contents to each other if you use file download for the integration. Mapping is required if you have used a different field name in the SAP ERP system from the one used for the business object User in SuccessFactors BizX.
For more information, see Enhancing the Extraction of Employee Data with Customer-Specific Fields.
  • New function for transferring the data on future employees from SAP ERP to SuccessFactors BizX to support their integration into the enterprise
You can now also transfer data to SuccessFactors BizX for employees whose hiring date is in the future. The new report Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors in Pre-Hire Period (RH_SFI_PREHIRE_EMPL_DATA) is available for this purpose. For more information, see Perform Extraction of Employee Data in Pre-Hire Period.
  • New function for transferring additional parameters to SuccessFactors BizX
  • The selection screen of the reports Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors (with Delta and Inactive Logic) and Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors in Pre-Hire Period has the new indicator No Validation of Manager and HR Manager. For more information, see No Validation of Manager and HR Manager.

Effects on Existing Data

The following objects were changed to transfer data on future employees:

  • In the Customizing activity Specify Allowed Variants for Delta Extraction, you now need to enter a scenario type. You thereby specify for which report you want to use the variant.
Note
If you have already defined variants for the report Sync Employee Data with SuccessFactors (with Delta and Inactive Logic) (RH_SFI_SYNCHRONIZE_EMPL_DATA) in this Customizing activity, the SAP ERP system uses the scenario type Employee Data for these variants.
  • The indicator PREHIRE has been added to the following tables:
  • SuccessFactors: Log Table for Delta Handling (HRSFI_D_EXTR_LOG)

  • SuccessFactors: Log Table for Errors in Delta Handling (HRSFI_D_ERR_LOG)

The report RH_SFI_PREHIRE_EMPL_DATA sets this indicator if it stores entries in these tables.
