Integration Add-On 1.0 SP06: Integration Using Middleware (Enhanced)

Use

As of Support Package 06 for the integration add-on 1.0 for SAP ERP Human Capital Management and SuccessFactors Business Execution, the following new functions are available for the integration using middleware:

• New integration using SAP HANA Cloud Integration

As an alternative to SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI), you can also use SAP HANA Cloud Integration (HCI) as middleware.

Note

The integration using SAP HANA Cloud Integration is available retroactively as of Support Package 04 for the integration add-on 1.0.

• New concept for handling cookies

The concept for handling cookies during the integration using middleware has been simplified. For this, the code of the user-defined function (UDF) that is used and the mapping for the top node of the message mapping structure have been changed.

Caution

The new concept requires a certain Support Package level in your SAP NetWeaver PI system (see below, under Effects on System Administration).

Effects on Existing Data

If you have created customer-specific services that use cookies, you need to modify the session handling for these services to fit the new concept. Otherwise the cookies can no longer be transferred using the HTTP header. To configure the session handling, proceed as described in the Administrator Guide.

If you use SAP NetWeaver PI as middleware, your SAP NetWeaver PI system must have at least the Support Package level stated in SAP Note 1838921.
