Integration Between Compensation Management and Personnel Development

Description

There is now a two-way integration between the Compensation Management and Personnel Development components.

From Compensation Management

In previous releases you could only use the Appraisal infotype (0025) for Compensation Management purposes. As of release 4.6A, the Compensation Management component is integrated to the Personnel Development's Appraisal System. This means that you can now both display and use the performance appraisal results stored in the Appraisal System for your eligibility rules and matrix guidelines.

For information on how to configure your system so that you can use this functionality, refer to the IMG documentation on matrix guidelines and in particular to the Define Matrix Dimensions step.

From Personnel Development

You can now jump directly from the Personnel Development component into the Compensation Management component, so that once you have completed the appraisals, the system asks you if you want to change an employee's compensation.

To set up this integration, you need to enter the function module RHPA_APP_PROCESS_FINAL_COMPENS on the Processing tabstrip in the customizing activity Edit Appraisal Catalog which you can find in the Personnel Development IMG under Appraisal Systems. For additional information on awarding adjustments after an appraisal, refer to the online documentation for Compensation Management.
