Short text

Common technical basis for all payroll programs

Description

As of Release 4.5A, all payroll drivers will contain the same international functions. The following changes have been made to the payroll drivers for Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, and Italy:

  • A number of includes in the payroll drivers for the above countries have been replaced.
  • Data areas that are used by the payroll driver and the called programs have been compared.
  • In the old version, cumulations were created in personnel calculation rule X080 at the end of the payroll period. In the new version, the function SETCU is used at the start of the schema and the function ADDCU is used in place of X080.
    See also Check cumulation calendar
In the variants for your payroll schemas, insert the function SETCU and replace function X080 by ADDCU.

Further notes

For customers converting from R/2 4.3 to R/3 4.5A:

The new processing logic in the payroll drivers required that the sequence numbers for the payroll results (RGDIR-SEQNR) are sorted in ascending order. This is not a problem since the sequence numbers have been sorted in ascending order until now.

However, in the conversion from R/2 4.3 to 5.0, the sequence numbers are allocated in reverse order. Because of this, when you have transferred payroll results from Release R/2 4.3 via 5.0 to the R/3 System, you must start report RPU45A_SEQNR. This report corrects the old sequence numbers (see accompanying report documentation).
