Payroll Japan: Information Management of Foreign Employees (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP ECC 2005, SAP_HR 600, the following enhancements are available to help you manage the employment information of foreign employees:

  • New infotype: Personal IDs (0185)
You can use this infotype to save the employment information for foreign employees with different identification types. You can customize the subtypes of this infotype.
  • Changes in the Legal Application Forms for Employment Insurance report (RPCUEMJ0)
On the output list of this report, for the employees who have data stored in the Personal IDs infotype (0185), the following information is displayed in the Remark section:
  • Nationality

  • Residence status

  • Identification expiration date

  • With or without permission to carry out activities outside the limitations

  • New query: Foreigner Employment Status Notification Form
This query selects the foreign employees who changed the employment status from October 1, 2007 and includes the employment information to output as an ALV form. You can use this query as a template to generate the forms submitted to the government.

  • Create infotype records for the foreign employees in the Personal IDs infotype (0185)
  • Execute the Legal Application Forms for Employment Insurance report (RPCUEMJ0) to generate LI (Labor Insurance) forms for foreign employees
  • Generate forms by the Foreigner Employment Status Notification Form. You can access this query by the following path on the SAP Easy Access screen:
HR Resources -> Personnel Management -> Administration -> Info System -> Reports -> Administration Japan -> Personnel Administration -> Foreigner Employment Status Notification Form

Effects on Customizing

To enable the enhancement mentioned above, you must complete the following steps by Customizing of Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Personal Data -> Identification (JP):
