EA_ICM_ICM_CORE_01: Guarantee (New)
Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Enterprise Extension Incentive and Sales Force Management, Enhancement Package 3 (EA-ICM 603) Business Function Incentive and Commission Management (EA_ICM_ICM_CORE_01) the guarantee function has been changed.
Excess Earnings
Note that prior to EA_ICM 603 the periodically guaranteed remunerations were calculated with the guarantee function. As of EA-ICM 603 the offsetting of excess earnings is no longer handled by the guarantee but by the retention process (see Release Note EA_ICM_ICM_CORE_01: Retention).
Subthreshold Earnings
These are mapped periodically in the guarantee process, enabling the contractually agreed guarantee amount to be remunerated. Background Information:
Guaranteed remunerations are usually agreed with new commission recipients for a specific period. From
a periodic point of view, subthreshold earnings occur at the start of the period and at a later point
in the guarantee period these are transformed into excess earnings that have to be offset. The guaranteed
remuneration can be offset at the end of the guarantee period against performance in the form of a performance-related remuneration (guarantee offsetting).
The new guarantee provides the following technical functions:
Run administration
You use run
administration to check during the editing of commission contracts which guarantee processes have
already been run or reset. You can navigate from run administration to the corresponding guarantee documents,
as well as to the period rules and periods that are used. You can also access user data from run administration and reset the guarantee. Run administration replaces the previous journals in ICM.
Resetting Guarantees
The leading entity for resetting guarantees is the run number of run administration. You can reset guarantees as long as they have not been settled.
Time Control (for experts)
You can use the
time control to influence
the effective and/or technical time spot that is used for the configuration, process control and master data of the guarantee process. For the resetting of guarantees, the time control only affects the process control.
Delimitation Date
You can enter a
delimitation date to determine
the date up to which the guarantees are generated. The delimitation date is detached from the time control
function. Consequently, guarantee remuneration is created for all periods that can be completely processed up to the delimitation date.
Guarantees in Advance and In Arrears
Regardless of the point up to which guarantees are generated, you can set the due date at the start or end of the period, depending on the periodicity.
Simulation
You have the option of simulating the guarantee run. An
application log is generated but no data is written to the database.
Posting Date (for Experts)
You can determine that the posting date (POST_DATE)
of the document header also applies to the guarantee process. You can use the run date, delimitation
date, due date or any other date as the posting date. The document header of the guarantee document is written to the database according to the posting date.
Application Log
This is generated for each run and for each commission contract
that is processed. The display function of the application log has been improved. You can now use the
problem classification of the application log. This lets you influence the number of messages written to the database, thus optimizing performance.
Commission Contract Level
Guarantees are created on the level of the commission contract, which means that the commission contract is the central lock object.
User Exits
All user exits are implemented with Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) that can be accessed through the IMG.
