Changes in Master Data Maintenance for Appropriation Requests

Scope of Functions

There are a number of changes to the interface for master data maintenance of appropriation requests. The most important of these changes are listed below.

  • Up to now, the master data was distributed over several screens, requiring paging back and forth. Now the master data is organized on six tab pages. These tab pages correspond roughly to the former pushbuttons in master data maintenance.
  • Up to now, the variants of an appropriation request were shown in a table. Now they are displayed in an overview tree. You no longer have to leave the "Variants" tab page in order to create and maintain variants. Depending on whether you are more interested in the variants, or in the plan versions to which they belong, you can choose either an overview tree for variants, or one for plan versions and program approval years.
  • Detail information, plan versions, plan values, preinvestment analysis calculation and depreciation data are arranged on a tab within the "Variants" tab page.
  • Status management is integrated in the "Variants" tab page. You no longer have to choose it from the menu.
  • Partner data is maintained in the "General Data" tab page in a table, rather than in individual fields, as it was before.
  • For measures to be carried out, the "order type" input field has been removed. Instead the order type or project profile are requested in a dialog box when you create the order or project.

You can configure the tab layout for master data maintenance of appropriation requests to best suit your needs. Choose Appropriation Requests -> Master Data -> Control Data -> Define Tab Layout for Appropriation Requests. You can specify the number of tab pages, the titles of the tabs, as well as the assignment of individual fields to the tab pages. You can thereby avoid having half-empty tab pages if you have suppressed a large number of fields in the field selection on a particular tab page, for example.

You enter the tab layout in the appropriation request type. If you do not enter a tab layout there, the system uses the standard tab layout.

You can use a customer enhancement (AAIR0002) to organize the user fields.
