Distribution in the License Acquisition Contract (New)

Use

As of CRM 5.0, you have the option of recording a static distribution in the license acquisition contract, similarly to the license sales contract.

You can use the distribution to distribute a main item between various account assignment objects, which are observed during the posting to Accounting, and lead to the general ledger lines being split. If the distribution is assigned to an exploitation-dependent item, this overrides the distribution that is produced in the OR data collector from the assigned sales.

If distribution lines are available, the system runs the same checks as those in the license sales contract:

  • The total for distributed percentage rates must equal 100%.
  • Rights dimensions must match the rights dimensions on the Rights or Service tab page. This check can be influenced by implementing the BAdI CRM_IPM_REVPLAN_DFLT.
  • The product must be part of the product hierarchy for the item product. This check can be influenced by implementing the BAdI CRM_IPM_REVPLAN_CHK.
  • If the Rights or Service tab page contains several rights lines, you must enter a distribution. However, the system only performs this check if a distribution plan is assigned to the item. In contrast to this, this check is always performed in the license sales contract, even if no distribution plan is assigned.

Distribution in the license acquisition contract is not transferred to the SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW).

Effects on Customizing

Assign a billing plan type to the item category, which contains a plan line with the revenue and cost distribution usage.

Enter entries with the IPM distribution item category usage during item category determination.
