DFPS_OF_LOG: Plant Maintenance (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, Defense Forces & Public Security (EA-DFPS 605) Enterprise Extension, DFPS, Logistical Operational Support 3 (DFPS_OF_LOG) business function, you can implement the following functions in the Plant Maintenance area:

  • For distributed maintenance, you can specify a retention period for orders. By doing so, you determine when (in number of days) the change authorization for these orders is to be automatically transferred to the central system after the technical completion of orders in the decentralized system.
    This automatic transfer of the change authorization to the central system enables the business completion of an order without you first having to manually transfer the change authorization from the decentralized system.
  • For distributed maintenance, you can specify a retention period for notifications. By doing so, you determine when (in number of days) the change authorization for these notifications is to be automatically transferred to the central system after the technical completion of notifications in the decentralized system.
  • For distributed maintenance, you can specify an archiving time for measurement documents. By doing so, you determine when (in number of days) this document is to be archived in the central system after the creation of a measurement document.
  • You can forward maintenance notifications and orders that were generated as maintenance call objects for a maintenance plan and their change authorization to the system in which the responsible work center assigned to them is operational. They are thus available in the system in which they are to be edited.

Effects on Existing Data

For the process for forwarding maintenance call objects, the Forward Maintenance Call Objects application (transaction /ISDFPS/PMMASSFWOBJ) is also available in the SAP Easy Access menu under Logistics -> Organizational Flexibility -> Distribution -> Maintenance.
